What's good with Singapore?

Been thinking for so many months what to share in this blog but then ideas were so rare and I can't even stand the fact that I'm falling asleep just to think what to blog. It just made me to my realization that since I'm here in Singapore for work and for leisure as well, why don't I share some things about this place I'm in...

For those who haven't been here, the following are the things I find amazing here in Singapore:
1. The use of EZ-link card for transportations and some purchases - Yes, that's right. Singapore is one of the countries who've successfully implemented the use of electronic cards for the major transporations here (MRTs and buses). Unlike other countries who use cash for paying transportations, well Singapore is not, it is very rare for people to bring cash just to pay the fare though buses here still accept cash payment for fare but it is very inconvenient for the passenger's side for these bus-payment machine accepts only coins. These EZ-links are re-loadable wherein owner of the card can add value to their card for the continued use of the card. Some establishment like McDonalds here accepts payment through this EZ-link card just by swiping the card to the establishment card reader. This EZ-link card is indeed just like a electronic wallet that an individual can use for most transactions here. Just make sure it has enough balance and you're on-go, no need to worry to bring so much cash for fare payment and save time from taking out/in of your wallets from time to time.

2. Organized exiting/riding on the MRTs - Singapore practices courtesy when it comes to MRT etiquettes wherein they allow first the exiting passengers to come out of the train before others can go and ride the train.

3. Reserve seats as an act of kindness for those who needs the seat most - Yes, they implement such reserve seating policy for pregnant, injured individuals, individual carrying a child and the elderlies here in Singapore. Each row of seat in the train has two reserve seats which are commonly located at both ends of the rows and mostly just near the train doors. Very convenient enough for those seat-needy person to access those reserved seats.

4. Escalator etiquettes - Yes you've read it right. There is certain 'escalator etiquettes here in Singapore wherein all individuals shall stay in the left side of the escalator otherwise you're in a hurry that you can use the right side of the escalator. If in case of rush hour, mostly it's allowable for all individual to stay in both sides of the esacalator since everybody is in a hurry by then.

5. 'Auntie' and 'Uncle' - Elderlies here in Singapore are commonly called as 'Auntie' and 'Uncle' even though they're not related to us/to them but basically a sign of respect.
